An Alternative Manchester City Centre Wedding

Todays gorgeous wedding on the blog is Kris and Dave’s fun filled shin dig at The Castlefield Rooms in Manchester just off Deansgate. Certainly a firm favourite of mine and this one was a seriously great wedding day. Kris and the rest of her crew were getting ready at the Lockkeepers Cottage just over the Canal from the venue. It’s a lovely place to get ready especially with the beautiful light given in the conservatory. Dave arrived a few hours before the ceremony for a few drinks in Dukes 92 so I headed over for a short while to greet Dave along with some friends and family that had started to arrive. I must say that Dave’s suit was just something else, a huge thumbs up from me.

A ceremony in the Merchants Room including some beautiful readings and followed by a colourful confetti exit. We headed out for a short walk around the Castlefield area that has some epic spots perfect for some wedding day portraits. There’s something special about the Castlefield Area. Every time I’m lucky enough to photograph a wedding around here I find something new to photograph. The Gallery Bar and Balcony is the perfect place for a drinks reception and I love the balcony area for photographs it makes such a difference. There was plenty of laughter and congratulatory hugs before we headed back into The Merchant Room for the Wedding Breakfast and Speeches.

Here’s a small selection of images from this delightful wedding:
