I was absolutely ecstatic when I was booked to photography Becki & Will’s wedding. They had picked the beautiful Airedale Barn at East Riddlesden Hall as the perfect setting for the wedding and it was exactly the right type of venue to fit in with the Game of Thrones Theme. This was my first time at East Riddlesden Hall and I completely fell in love with it’s rustic charm and unique features. It’s always lovely to work at new venues to get a fresh perspective on things.
I started the day photographing Becki and the bridesmaids at one of the beautiful lodges at Faweather Grange. It was a lovely morning filled with some emotional moments as Becki handed out some lovely gifts and of course the moment everyone awaits when the bride to be gets ready in the dress. Becki looked absolutely stunning and the dress was perfect too!
I headed off just after Becki had put the dress on to meet Will in the Airedale Barn at East Riddlesden Hall so I had plenty of time to work out some angles for the ceremony and capture a little bit of what the guys were up to before the ceremony. To my lovely surprise the sun was shining letting some gorgeous light through the huge glass doors at the front of the barn.
After the lovely ceremony we headed straight outside for a crazy confetti shot, there was so much confetti!! Not a bad thing by any means as I love it when there’s plenty to go around and it creats a confetti blizzard. After a quick dusting down to get rid of most of the confetti we took a short walk with Just Becki & Will for some relaxed portrait’s of them both. Just as we headed over it started to snow! It’s the first time I’ve had snow at a wedding and it was perfect, especially fitting for the Game of Thrones wedding theme too!
I had a great time with Becki and Will on such a magical day and loved the wedding theme being a little bit of a Game of Thrones fan myself. East Riddlesden Hall was perfect and the staff went above and beyond, I’m really excited for my next wedding there!
