The Colony HQ Willmslow Wedding Photography

Wedding Photography at The Colony HQ wedding venue in Wilmslow for Yasmin and Jonathan’s absolutely fabulous wedding day. I’ve got to say that the weather was absolutely spectacular and combined with what is quite frankly a magic roof at The Colony, I felt more like I was photographing a destination wedding in Europe rather than at this quirky venue on the outskirts of Manchester.

 

Couples Shoot in Castlefield

 

When Yasmin and Jonathan first got in touch with me to chat about plans for the day, one of the first things they said was that they weren’t too keen on being in front of the camera and a few months after booking me for the wedding date we organised a couples shoot which is a great way to get some lovely photographs & also get a feel for what it’s like being in front of the camera. It turned out they were absolutely great together in front of the camera whilst we wandered round the Castlefield area and we got some gorgeous shots. It was a nice surprise on the wedding day to see the photographs from the shoot displayed on a large screen during the drinks reception too. I’ll pop a few images from the couple shoot below:

 

Getting ready at The Stanneylands Hotel

Yasmin was getting ready at The Stanneylands Hotel on the morning of the wedding, close to Manchester Airport and just a short drive to The Colony HQ for wedding. The morning of a wedding day is a great time for capturing the excitement and emotion of what’s to come.

Wedding Ceremony at The Colony HQ Wilmslow

The wedding ceremony along with the rest of the wedding day celebrations took place at The Colony HQ in Wilmslow, a very cool and quirky venue for a wedding day that has certainly shot up to one of my top venues in Manchester. The terrace has a retracting roof that almost completely disappears, instantly transforming the area into an outdoor space. On a day with incredible weather like Yasmin and Jonathans wedding day, it creates a truly beautiful setting for a wedding.
