Why I love this photograph of the bride walking down the stairs…

This image is from David & Helens lovely wedding at Weetwood Hall in Leeds last week. It turned out to be a gorgeous sunny day!

Just a few minutes before Helen was ready to walk down the aisle to get married she made the journey downstairs accompanied by her very dedicated bridesmaid who was helping her with the dress. I’d decided already that I was going to wait on the floor above to capture Helen as she made her way down. I just love the way that light falls from the window as they are both walking past.

Natural Un-Posed Wedding Moments

Totally un-posed and natural moments like this are perfect. I love them. The detail of the stunning dress and gorgeous bouquet and even a peek at one of Helen’s shoes. There’s so much contained inside this photograph that I could look at it for hours.

This is just one natural moment from David & Helens wedding day but It’s one of my favourites from the day. I always really enjoy the morning preparations and the last few moments before the ceremony. I find it’s a time filled with excitement, anticipation and raw emotion.

David & Helen’s wedding in Leeds was amazing! Thank you both for allowing me to capture the day for you. It’s an amazing experience to be able to photograph such an important event and I feel truly humbled that people trust me to capture the wedding day. It’s the best job in the world!

My plan is to post about some of my favourite wedding photographs each week on the blog so make sure you keep an eye out for the latest updates and images.
